All the districts are well connected with telephone and mobile services. Almost every town provides IDD services and the connections are usually uninterrupted. The country code is 975. Mobile phones with GSM 900 specification can be used in Bhutan. The service provider is Bhutan Mobile which was launched in 2003. Another service provider will be operating shortly.

The main ISP is Druknet (www.druknet.bt) and virtually every town has cyber cafes.

Bhutan-Post caters to the postal service of Bhutan. Airmail letters to Bhutan can take up to two weeks. DHL facilities are also available.

The national programme on TV can be watched in BBS (Bhutan Broadcasting Service) channel.

The national newspaper is Kuensel. It is published every Wednesday and Saturday. Website: www.kuenselonline.com

The first private newspaper is Bhutan Times. It is published every Sunday. Website: www.bhutansearch.com

The second private newspaper is Bhutan Observer. It is published every Friday.
