TRASHIGANG (3775 ft) Trashigang is in the far east of Bhutan. The first and the only degree college is located in this district. The Trashigang dzong was built in1659 by Chhogyal Minjur Tenpa. Now it is the administrative seat of the dzongda (governor) and the monk body. The holy Gom Kora is visited by the people from all over Bhutan. It is believed that Guru Rinpoche had meditated here hundreds of years ago.
